Four Generations – It all started in 1964. By building Thurnher’s Alpenhof, Elfi and Oskar Thurnher had fulfilled their long-standing dream of a domicile in the mountains. Her daughter, Dr. Beatrice, Zarges, the fate of the family-run chalet hotel. In the third generation, Stephanie Zarges-Vogel is at her side – supported by the little Coco-Felice, who runs cheerfully through the corridors and regards the house, the most beautiful resorts in the entire Alpine region, as her own. Not only is Coco-Felice happy about playmates, but also warmly welcoming the little guests. And because knowing about the needs of children, special child menus are also offered and other services in addition to loving care. Dr. Beatrice Zarges, owner of the multi-award-winning chalet hotel, maintains an intimate attention to detail – and this applies equally to the interior design of the entire hotel as to the hot and professional service.

Culinary – Mountaineering skills are not required to stop where restaurant critics and testers locate one of Austria’s best culinary addresses. Thurnher’s Alpenhof is located at 1717 meters, but they are well developed for tourism. In the restaurant, you can expect delicious creations that please the eyes first and then the palate. The piano bar is right next door – here, the fire crackles in the fireplace, and it is shaken and stirred …The chef is famous for his culinary skills. He is a master of his trade who insists on the very highest quality. He transforms the finest, freshest products into gourmet menus. He will seduce you with his perfectly created light international and regional specialties. The Maître rounds out the gastronomic delights with a fine selection of noble wines. Together with his team, he ensures that dining at the Alpenhof will always be a memorable experience.

Gourmet Restaurant – At the beginning, there is the product. High quality, fresh, genuine. Preferred regional, sometimes from distant shores. The two head chefs Ronald Thelemann and René Pusch, convince with a puristic kitchen that focuses on the product and refrains from overloading it with flavors. Incompatibilities or special culinary wishes are, of course, taken into account when preparing the dishes as well as the nutritional needs and preferences of children, for whom their own menus are created. The rich breakfast buffet’s highlight is the sausage counter with a unique selection of Austrian sausage and ham varieties. Theme evenings round off the culinary offer. Let yourself be surprised!

What better way could there be to start – or round off – an enjoyable evening than with a drink in the elegant piano bar? The pianist’s soft music accompanies the barkeeper as he shakes and stirs exclusive drinks and cocktails from all over the world – and rounds off the culinary fireworks of the evening menu. The wide range of facilities includes the free use of the water-sports area, including the swimming pool, Finnish Sauna, Bio Sauna, and steam bath. Participation in various programs arranged by the hotel’s own sport and leisure supervisor is also free of charge. Furthermore, the hotel has a special children’s program to entertain the younger members of the family. The use of the panorama terrace and the cinema also forms part of their range of services.

As the only house in the Arlberg-region, they place their ski instructor at your disposal for free. The hotel can acquire your ski passes and take your skis to be ground and polished. Furthermore, they can find a babysitter for your children upon request.

Residences – Your Service Apartment in Zurs – Only four suites and a penthouse apartment: the newly opened Thurnher’s Residences are the first and only serviced apartments in Zürs to draw attention to themselves. Modern in shape, relaxing in materials. Luxuriously furnished, flooded with light, extremely comfortable, and as a temporary home, an attractive alternative to living in a hotel. Especially since the guests of the chalet residence located directly at the Zürser See lift can take advantage of the diverse range of services from Thurnher’s Alpenhof at any time. Opened in December 2016 and operated by Thurnher’s Alpenhof, the Thurnher’s Residences are the first and only serviced apartments in Zürs am Arlberg and offer every imaginable comfort. Located directly beside the Zürser See lift and only a hundred meters from Thurnher’s Alpenhof, they provide spacious layouts and light-filled rooms and afford spectacular views of the mountains of the Lechtaler Alps. With living areas ranging between 56 and 190 square meters, they are suitable for couples, families, and larger groups who choose to rent the chalet exclusively.

All the Apartments are characterized by a cozy, modern alpine style, which is interpreted individually in each unit. Limed oak floors and a high-quality interior in warm shades of beige ensure a relaxing atmosphere; Italian and Scandinavian design create exciting contrasts. Guests can either cater for themselves in their temporary home since it also offers its own kitchen, or if preferred, they can also take advantage of the wide-ranging culinary amenities provided by Thurnher’s Alpenhof. Upon request, breakfast will be served in the privacy of your own apartment, or you can choose to eat in the hotel. In the evening, guests staying in Thurnher’s Residences can opt for a gourmet menu with several courses or an à-la-carte dinner. For reservations at external restaurants, you can take advantage of the concierge’s services, who is available to help you from early morning until late at night. Guests staying at Thurnher’s Residences may also use the hotel’s spa with an indoor pool, saunas, and steam bath, and those who wish can also take part in the hotel’s free leisure programs.
